Friday, November 29, 2019 - Decanted and followed over a four hour period. Sort of a muddied garnet purple color in the glass with thin legs. The nose is beautiful with rich pungent aromas of plum, forest floor, creosote, berry jam, lavender, and sweet tarts. The palate is similarly inviting with earth and stone laced berry compote in a soft yet well balanced style. Such an interesting wine with surprising balance for a one year old wine. This producer has a knack for crafting exceptionally unique wines that are complex and approachable from the start.
