Sunday, December 1, 2019 - Decanted and followed over 4 hours. Opaque garnet red core with some bricking at the rim. The nose is fairly restrained and attractive with aromas of garrigue, crushed stones, black cherry, and herbs de provence. This wine is surprisingly classic and structured for a 2003 with earthy red fruit driven flavors, firm tannins, and good supporting acidity. Started to show a bit more fruit towards the end so I think this wine will benefit from more time. I honestly think this could use another 10 years or decant for several hours if you want to pop a bottle now.
