Friday, December 13, 2019 - Revisited and as good if not better than in June (no off notes this time; blame the taster, not the wine). Pale gold with green tints. Inviting complex nose. Cracked wheat, toasty hints, yellow peach and grapefruit pith. Has that alluring bruised nectarine skin perfume.

Medium body with just the right amount of richness and roundness for the flavour line and gently tingling finish. Lovely Chardonnay. Presages the step up with the 15 and 17 (that are based on a different block and clone). Tempted to bump it up to 94, but I gave that to the 14 whose intensity and long, long finish put it a cut above. Hard marking. Wiith Chardy, Tumby (from the right sites in the right hands) delivers.
