Friday, January 3, 2020 - Deep garnet with a hint of aging brown at the rim, but only marginal. Amazing colour for a wine of 15 years of age. Nose still on primary fruit, mostly blackcurrant and blueberries, complemented by a hint of secondary aromas of almonds(!), vanilla and dry wood. After a while in the glass, some tertiary aromas of tobacco emerges. Full bodied attack, smooth tannins, sweet blackcurrant fruit, and a very nice acidity to match. Long and fresh aftertaste dominated by black forest berries (blueberries. blackberries) and blackcurrant. For a non-classified Bordeaux this is just short of amazing quality. Still in its primary phase, probably optimal to drink now for those appreciating primary fruit combined with hints of maturing. For lovers of old B, this should be aged 5 years more, and will drink perfectly for a couple of decades after that. Extreme quality/price.

1/3/2020 4:55:00 PM - I was going to say, I think this producer needs 20 years to even begin to get good! I think you hit it right on the head.
