Friday, January 31, 2020 - Double decanted (~1h) and I would recommend do even more (2-4h) as I recommended already in 2018 but didn't follow my own advice. Red berry fruit, a bit of ash minerality and complex floral notes. On the palate tannins with still lots of grip and biting acidity. Ripe fruit and great aromatic breadth with and intriguing mix of sweet spices, although sadly I didn't find the layered structure I experienced at my first encounter. Juicy on the palate but also slightly alcoholic which I put down as a negative. Evolved beautifully in the glass so take your time! I definitely popped this too early again so just keep cellaring. Potential for greatness abounds and checking my previous notes I'm already adding +1 to the score now. To be continued 2021.
