Sunday, April 19, 2020 - Drank this bottle over the course of a week. It was the first "Orange" wine I had, and quite frankly - I was not impressed.
If compared to a regular sweet Gewürztraminer Auslese or Spätlese, this "Orange" barely had any nose, just a very subdued hint of the typical aromas of roses and fruit. Same on the palate... acidity, sweetness, fruit, minerals... all really hard to notice.
Don't get me wrong, it was nice enough to drink (low alcohol as well), but I found myself asking the same question:
If you have a bunch of ripe Gewürztraminer grapes - why transform them into this "Orange"-nonsense instead of a regular Auslese? It makes no sense to me.

No rating, because it should not be compared with regular wine.
