2000 Château Rauzan-Ségla

Monday, May 18, 2020 - Bought from auction. Bottle and cork in great shape. Surprisingly at or past it’s peak, color had substantial bricking. Very well balanced, great bouquet, but fruit seems to be fading, tannins mostly resolved. Faded a little in the decanter, too. Could be some bottle variation, perhaps it got cooked at some point, but would drink sooner rather than later. Fellow drinker Tim, who guessed left bank 80s, said he has seen this on a few 2000 Bordeauxs.
