Thursday, July 9, 2020 - There is a very full nose of cassis and vanilla to this Lake County Cabernet. Fantastic black currant taste profile with plenty of baking spice and other herbs. At 16.6% alcohol, it’s surprisingly not a fruit bomb at all. It’s in perfect balance between sweet and acidity. It’s smoky and very dense to boot. I like that’s a very approachable wine right now and should only get better with some age.
For the money, a great effort...
