Wednesday, February 8, 2017 - Tasted blind. Dark ruby turning crimson violet at the rim with a transparent edge. It has a fragrant, elegant, floral nose with hints of tobacco leaves. The palate is full-bodied with a silky texture. The acidity perfectly balances the ripe blackberry fruit with secondary flavors of dark chocolate and vanilla from the toasted oak. So elegant and graceful. Very long, mentholated finish. Drink now with a 1-hr decant until 2034.
