93 Points

Saturday, September 26, 2020 - This is a wine we have had few times over the last 9 years and we have to say we have had very mixed results. From the 95 back in 2011 to the 88 a year ago all the way to the 93 on this occasion. As great and consistent are the Cordier wines ( GL and Talbot) of 82,83,85,86 so variable is the 89s!
This though was a real joy and frankly we thought originally it was a 98 ! This is bright and still very energetic, well matured and earthy of course, textbook classic well aged Bordeaux and put a huge smile on our face. 93 this time round

9/27/2020 12:37:00 PM - Lots of love for 80's Cordier here and I know what ya mean...When they hit, if you love old Bordeaux, its close to perfection....Here here, the dude abides :-) Cheers Pap
