Monday, December 14, 2020 - Went with the recommended 24 hour slow ox in the cellar. Very little sediment to show after almost a decade, but had nice fine drying tannins and blue fruit along with a bit of a minty chocolate note that came around on day 2. Will check in on my remaining bottle in a couple years as this definitely has plenty of life ahead.

9/6/2021 6:57:00 PM - I find the 2011, which was the least ripe vintage for Napa between 2001-2020, has a surprising long need of cellar time. It seems to be in good shape with all-day in a decanter at proper temps. It's 10 years old and just coming around. A slight green note which I kind of like and probably my most BDX-styled wine thus far. I like my wines to age and they all need some time in the cellar but I would not prefer 10 years, as this one seems to.
