Saturday, December 26, 2020 - A tannic, deep-fruited beast. Remarkably black-purple color. Intense tannins. It needs a couple of hours of air after decanting, and you have to be in the biological mood for it. It's really good when it suits you, but odd when it doesn't.

If you want to drink shortly after opening, this definitely needs a few more years. It will be interesting to see how it evolves over the next few years - I have another.

I love heavy, tannic, deep-fruited wines - syrahs more than petite sirahs - yet I think this wine is slightly over-rated.
