Saturday, January 9, 2021 - This bottle was in a good spot. Aerated into decanter one hour prior to drinking. Tannins were fully resolved, leaving a rich velvety texture. In general, we find most Bookers have a signature smoothness without losing balance, a rarity for big extracted wines. The tartness and extra pinch of acid imparted by the Tempranillo (notated as a negative by others) is a plus as far as we’re concerned, making it more food friendly and less fatiguing.
