Amazing that such old vintages are available at retail (I bought this 2 years ago). The wine opens with a great nose of dark berries and baking spice. The palate boasts deep red cherry, earthy minerals, and black pepper in a dense mix that you only can achieve with age. The mouthfeel is textured with a touch of tannin and medium acidity. Long, spice-infused finish completes the package.
