Saturday, April 24, 2021 - When I popped the wine, the mushroom, meat, and dampened chamber smell were dominated. After two hours aeration, the wine started to shine. Fruits came out first and flower, forest floor, and smoke followed. I almost stopped drinking it for an hour. The nose changing was quite a treat. On the palate, fruit, honey and licorice for sure were there, but the most interesting part is the tea-like aftertastes. A great Chinese tea usually has a terrific lasting with a hit of sweetness. This Pinot noir also had this character, which amazed me a lot. What a show.
