Friday, August 27, 2021 - Perfection with the nose, finish and x-factor…however, the palate, overall, was exceptionally close to perfect. Blackberries, bay leaf, honeyed ham, plum sauce, baked garlic, fresh cherries and antique chest. The length and vibrancy are truly legendary with prose and structure, this lacks no reference. Astounding transparency and full of body, this goddess will age exceptionally well. Legendary. Silky tannins. Drink 2024 -.

8/28/2021 9:04:00 AM - Thank you, Matt, for your note! The same day, I had the Petit Clos Apalta in the glass. Totally closed down! But now, one day later, the wine begins to open, at least for the nose. So, I am even more curious about how the Grand Vin will develop. I will not open my Magnums before 2027! Cheers!
