Sunday, August 29, 2021 - Darker in fruit and slightly heavier than ‘16. On the nose it gives intense notes of very ripe blackberries, the palate matches with blackberries, red raspberries, a tiny bit of animal funk, dark minerals. Medium body and so easy to drink. Almost like a watery consistency to it with an elegant feel. I drank the cuvee marcel lapierre ‘18 recently and this definitely has less concentration, body and elegance but excels in its drinkability at the moment. Did very well out of the decanter and drank best at cellar temp.
