93 Points

Saturday, August 28, 2021 - 93pts. Tasted with fscov. This was the biggest surprise of the night - at half the price, it offered the same level of complexity and length of a Catena Zapata Malbec Argentino. Although it is a blend, this smells and tastes like a pure Malbec, even though 35% of it comes from other varietals.

It is still a bit primary, but there is no need of further cellaring, although it can be left to rest for some 5+ years. I got notes of black cherries, blackberries, and plum. It spent 16 months in barrel, but there is very little oak - its management was well done. Velvety tannins and a medium finish. I'll probably get more in the next couple months, so I promise to revisit it soon.
