Thursday, September 16, 2021 - Medium bodied, blend of modern and traditional styling. Saturating California berries alongside N. Rhone minerality. One of the more N. Rhone-inspired California Syrahs I’ve tasted, particularly garrigue and conifer needles you’d find in Cote Rotie, plus crisp spiced berries of Cornas. Some meatiness. Not much reduction. Excellent balance, good length. Emerging complexity. Good value. May buy a case and follow for a decade.
