Friday, November 26, 2021 - Cork broke in half while opening, so I ended up decanting the wine though we started drinking as soon as the wine was poured. Interestingly, the first couple of mouthfuls were quite tannic, reminding me of the 1st bottle I consumed many years ago. The tannins never entirely dissipated, which was a nice foundation for a wonderfully spicy mouthfeel that still had plenty of fruit. This wine could've been stored for at least a couple more years given the lingering tannins, just not sure it's really going to improve all that much.
