Friday, January 28, 2022 - Bought at HK auction, allowed it a week to rest before opening. Label fell off but cork was in superb condition. PNP. Still dark ruby colour, not much sign of age on the rim. Nose was immediately expressive of dark fruits, straw and peppery notes. Medium body on the palate with very deep and solid core of black fruits, chocolates, cedar and again that slight pepperiness in the finish. Very long, very enjoyable. Compared to Dominus (my favourite Napa) this wine is more hedonistic, more flamboyant, less precision and less complexity but just as enjoyable
