Thursday, September 8, 2022 - Bought £18.00 Waitrose Wine Direct Online, UK. 2022

Screw cap. Chilled. No decant.

N....oddly mute, or near it. A faint cut grass, a bit of damp green paddock.

C....looks light-medium body, a good straw.

T....an interesting SB, comes without the usual/tiresome NZ aggressive capsicum and intense gooseberry; has near-tropical fruit profile with funk, I liked it very much. Some wet hay, some sweet oak, a rounded and soft mouth-feel with juicy acid to balance; some saline too; some ripe citrus, some elderflower. More medium-dry than actual dry (the 'plus' is a small % of Riesling, I think I was reading somewhere). Good length of flavour.

VFM?.....feels £25.00, costs £18.00....good value for money, will buy again.

12/6/2022 7:12:00 AM - Stoic Warrior....I think you'll like it, it's a nice change in style from the usual NZ Sav Blanc.

3/17/2023 10:43:00 AM - Didn't get around to opening one of these, Callum, before we disappeared off to Aus/NZ for 2 ½ months. Back in Blighty now. Opened one tonite. Nice. TN posted.
