from Maury in Côtes du Roussillon with shale (Schistes) marl soil and
vines of age 4-40 yrs yielding 30 hl/ha.
Manual harvest. Selection in field and on sorting table.
Traditional vinification. Aged 16 months in concrete tank.
14.5% Abv.
Background: A joint venture since 2001 between Jean-Luc Thunevin,
proprietor of Château Valandraud in Saint-Emilion and Jean-Roger Calvet
native of Maury. Early vintages made in a garage in the
village before winery built in 2008.

Cellar Master: Damien Majoral

A(ccuracy)=2: Med deep ruby/garnet. Modulated yet robust blend.
B(alance)=2: Ripe fruit with adequate structure.
C(omplexity)=2: Dark fruits, licorice, garrigue, earth.
D(epth)=1: Savory mouthfeel. Average length and finish.
