Sunday, November 20, 2022 - Value Gran Reserva that's always worth a try. 2h air, probably not strictly necessary. Medium garnet color. Shyly gives up aromas of cherry, tar, parmesan cheese, well-worn oak and strong notes of black pepper. Silky texture, medium-bodied, with zesty cherry on the palate and hints of licorice through the lingering finish. Round, polished tannins add just enough support. Probably not a huge amount of long-term cellaring potential, but it's already 14 years old and enjoyable so why not drink it now.
