Saturday, April 18, 2009 - Notes from day 2. Nice dark red color. On the nose there is black cherry, plum, a hint of cinnamon, and lots of tobacoa. On the palate there is black cherry, low quality tobacoa, a little minerality, dirty earth flavor towards the back everything is sort of sour. There is good balance with this old world style rioja and I would think it would go better with food, but not really my type of wine. Seemed tightHold 50+5+12+12+8
