Tuesday, December 20, 2022 - Inky purple with dark magenta edges in color. Nose of red currants, blueberry compote and baking spices after a 2 hour decant in glass. On the palate: well delineated notes of blueberries and damson plum w/ mineral salinity. Gritty tannins are inoffensive, but still not fully integrated; perceived mostly on gums. Long finish of dark berries, vanillin and cedar. More time in the cellar will reward the patient, but this is very approachable now.
