Monday, December 26, 2022 - Dark cloudy ruby and slightly orange color

Nose: medium intense aromas of cranberries, blackberries, sweet cigar smoke, and violet

Palate: medium(+) bodied, medium acid, medium/medium(+) balance, velvety and slightly thin texture, medium tannins, medium complexity, dry. Medium/medium(-) flavors of brambly blackberry with notes of smoke and flowery perfume. Medium/medium(+) length plush dark red fruit finish


Nice aged brambly aromas and flavors with a fairly extended finish. I would agree, like others have said, that there could be some light TCA taint leading to diminished fruit. But overall still enjoyable!
