Friday, August 12, 2022 - Mid-yellow-gold, the nose shows quite a bit of toasty oak, wood smoke prevalent, yellow cling peach, baked pears, maize and plenty of cinnamon spice, nutmeg and star anise.
A vibrant entry with fleshy peach and nectarine along with orange and tangerine segments.
Juicy, with splintery oak, there is a creamy richness to the texture that verges on Greek yoghurt!
A persistent acidity keeps the wine buoyant, clean and refreshing. A smart wine it opened further to reveal poached pear, lemon meringue pie, vanilla infusion and quite a nutmeggy edge!
Good length; the oak is a little too prominent at the moment but has depth, and the acid seems to be in its favour giving a zesty edge and a touch of chalk.
