Sunday, February 5, 2023 - 2 hour double decant. Smooth and delicious! One of my favorite CDPs! Wasn't quite sure what to expect...could be great...could be hot/alcoholic....well, it was not alcoholic at all and had a very nice balance of fruit and tertiary flavors. Nose showed some cherry blossom, meat and earth, with a little spice and old leather. Palate was equally compelling, with red fruit, bacon fat and jerked beef, earth and spice...in a word, delicious! 93+ for my palate! My second favorite red....I liked the 1994 Beaucastel slightly more!
