Monday, February 27, 2023 - Aromatic on first pass, m int, acacia, blackcurrent leaf, yeast, crushed rocks, smoke, and gooseberry. Like flat champagne! Legs pronounced.
Palate chalky, wet stones, buttressed by juicy grapefruit and lemon peel, with a slight move into tropical passionfruit on the m finish. No doubt limestone is in play here. M acidity, m body but luscious mouthfeel, m+ alc v well integrated, would have stuck near 13 if blind.
Nice tension, complexity, hard to fault much if anything here.
