Tuesday, March 21, 2023 - This wine drank reasonably well off a 60-minute decant. I found the wine to be more restrained than I expected provided the review from AG and the vintage. The fruit was there but so was the oak - not at an abrasive level but also not entirely integrated. All in all, I would not hesitate at $50.00 and I expect this wine will benefit from another 1-2 years in bottle.

3/21/2023 10:10:00 PM - Did you taste it upon opening? I really think this (and Double Diamond) are pop and pours. I’m a big fan of decanting, but these entry level bottles are made to drink immediately. I may be wrong, but I think skipping the decant will improve your opinion of this wine. Cheers DNA!
