Thursday, May 7, 2009 - Popped and poured, and then consumed over 5 hours. Medium-bodied wine that is dark magenta/purple in color. On the nose, expressive dark berries, bacon fat, and floral notes. On the palate, blackberries, blueberries, minerals, and licorice on the extremely long 40-second finish. Great balance and acidic lift here...loaded with fruit without being overbearing, this lithe Syrah is gorgeous to drink, and I'm sad this was my only bottle. Yet another great Carlisle QPR!
