Monday, April 3, 2023 - Heater week; 3/26/2023-4/3/2023 (Chicago, IL): It's pretty wild that you can make a wine this thicc in such a cold vintage. Heaps of botrytis and spice on the nose and palate, with notes of apricots, marmalade, and slight mushroom. Lacks a bit of definition; this feels a little diffuse, as if the sole thing on display here is a study on the intense botrytis. Quite sweet.
