Saturday, April 8, 2023 - 85% Monastrell and 15% Cab. Very aromatic wine, very powerful as well. 16% alcohol is a little bit high, the fruit is really ripe but the acidity is on point which makes it not overly sweet. The wine is primary, not surprisingly, with blackberry, plum, hint of chocolate and mocha with a spicy finish. I am glad this is not overly sweet but it still sorta overpowered my food pairing, bone-in ribeye... Overall a good wine by itself, but I find it can be too powerful for food..
