Friday, April 28, 2023 - Deep blackcurrant, some spring flowers, violet and herbs on the nose. The first sip wasn’t terribly impressive - monolithic, quite thick blackcurrant, but then it started to open up, with the blackcurrant growing in finesse, joined by some dark raspberry and violet, morphing into sappy sour cherry, going back to the blackcurrant on the finale. Very silky tannins, with an impressive velvet texture. The finish grew in volume over time and this is clearly a wine with massive potential.
