Saturday, May 16, 2009 - Tasted at Ridge and compared to 2008, 2005, 1995, and 1997. On the nose it destroyed these wines. Huge Bordeaux like nose of cigar box, tobacco and blackberry. Acidic on the palate. Long finish. They said this wine need 5+ years to come together and I believe it but when it does it will be a monumental Monte Bello. Drink now with decanting and a greasy steak or leave in the cellar 5+ years. Have to buy some of this.
