Saturday, May 16, 2009 - Survey of Bordeaux (Our House -- Philadelphia): Bricking. See through. Surprisingly nice nose. Secondaries coming through. Leather, tobacco, tar and a touch of spice. There may be some dark fruit in there but it is hard to tell. The palate is relatively flat and sweet. Medium finish. This did not show well in a second taste later in the night in a makeshift Pontet Canet vertical flight. All in all, a surprise, especially on the nose. Drink 'em if you've got 'em.
