Wednesday, May 24, 2023 - What a sublime Hermitage blanc from a difficult vintage. Made from a 55 year old 2 ha single vineyard Marsanne, aged for 11 months in oak, 50% new barrels. Deep golden. Intense complex aroma of figs, dried fruits such as apricots, peaches, apples, dried honey, caramel, butter, wax. Full body, masculine and powerful, incredible concentration and intensity with flavours of dried stone fruits, caramel, toast, roasted nuts. Seductive richness is cut by medium+ acidity and concludes with very long and ripe finish.
