Thursday, July 20, 2023 - Bottled with natural cork; the nose initially seemed to have some oak spice on it that was a bit heavy, but after about 90 minutes of air this opened up nicely. Orchard fruits of red apple and underripe peach alongside flinty minerality with a hint of smoke and spice; almost a slight tangerine hint with more air; the palate was initially pretty tight, but with the air it really blossoms to show very good depth despite still a hint of austerity. Last glass was very good; saved 1/2 the bottle to re-visit. Bodes well for cellar time, but as always I have reservations due to premox...
