Wednesday, August 9, 2023 - Short decant based upon my history with other vintages of this wine, served at 57 F. Inky ruby color. Black and white shake on the nose, with currant, plum and green bell pepper on the nose. Medium-bodied, fading acidity, light grippy (almost but not quite velvety) tannins. Oak and alcohol well-integrated. Sweet bright blackberry jam fruit on the palate, spicy oak notes, pomegranate, a hint of sour cherry and the slightest touch of menthol. Drinking really well right now, great QPR. Short clean finish.
