Saturday, September 2, 2023 - Similar to how I remember the 2019. Took about an hour of air to come around. Bright ruby color. Dates, vanilla and a bit of mocha on the nose. Body is smooth but maybe a bit thin, no noticeable heat, low acidity. Tart black cherry on the palate, with notes of sweet dried dates, tobacco and blueberries. Short finish. Again, I think there must be some petite syrah in this blend. Prefer his cabs at a young age, but I think this will age better and could pick up a couple of points.
