Saturday, August 12, 2023 - whites from Austria, Alsace, and the Mosel: light straw colour and light-bodied in appearance. the nose is perfumed with white blossoms, fresh apricots, and light herbs. gentle on the entry, the flavours unfold with clarity and precision as they gain in concentration. pithy mineral veins, lime citric streaks, flashes of honeyed sweetness, and touches of spice add to the experience. long, silky finish.

elegance and subtlety are the calling card of this Riesling; give it a handful of years at least to then reap its rewards.

14% AbV (well integrated); ~5g/L of RS; from 60-70y.o. vines mid slope of the Schlossberg Grand Cru; took an entire year to complete fermentation
