Tuesday, September 19, 2023 - My first time tasting a Troplong Mondot wine, and certainly not my last. I decanted and strained, and then I let it breathe for five hours. The 2019 Troplong Mondot is surprisingly open for business. The wine has light dusty tannin's, and a decent amount of fruit for a young Bordeaux. I am rating this wine 90 for now, but it could go as high as 95 in another fifteen years. The bottle cost $119, a relative bargain in comparison to what other 2019's cost.
