Monday, October 23, 2023 - Terrific Grüner Veltliner with great sophistication. Yes, I acknowledge that Grüner is a hard sell for those who are used to, for example, fat California Chardonnays and fragrant German Rieslings, but good Grüners grow on one's palate. To draw a comparison to cocktails, a good Grüner is like a great dry martini. Arguably, the Grüners from the steep hills along the Danube in Wachau are the best.
