Saturday, October 28, 2023 - Good cork pop, not cork issues. Stained deep dark purple and closer to black. Prior to tasting, and having read reviews both pro and here, was expecting this to be a giant kick in the Head experience. It was not at all. This is smooth, balanced, with a heady bouquet. I can sense the higher alcohol but don't taste it. Tannins become considerable but not when aerated in mouth. Not much fruit. Evolved. Cherry or something bright. Interesting wine that tastes evolved. I think you could have this now. I don't see it getting better.
