Thursday, November 16, 2023 - 2014 White Burgundy Lunch (Grappa Leichhardt): I struggled to find where this 1er cru vineyard was located so I consulted a map. It's in Volnay, but benefits from some creative cartography to claim the Meursault Appellation. Ignore what the French say, Volnay it is. Pale under Diam 10, with a nose of white peach and pear, and a delicious drink as per the house style from F&LP. Long lemon, white nectarine, peach and pebble finish. Delicious and harmonious, in the house style, but not to be opened after a heavyweight WB 18.25.
