I simply find the 2019 to be a gorgeous and captivating wine. Beautifully full in mouthfeel, with rich black cherry and raspberry, spice, cassis, red licorice, violets, and a serious yum factor that brings it all together.
Sure, it’s Napa and it’s considerably ripe, but truly what puts a bow on it for me is the superb elegance, especially considering how gushing it is on the palate. It’s a textural dream, with an unparalleled silky mouthfeel. The finish follows suit with the undulating reverberation of fruit and spice flavors. If you’re a Napa flavorhound that gets down with the modern (but not too modern) juice, it’s difficult to ignore the class here. Seriously delicious.
