Saturday, November 25, 2023 - Bottle was upright for about 10 hours. Cork had no evidence of leakage and was extracted without any problems. Poured into a decanter over a light thinking I would stop when I saw the sediment approach the neck but the bottle is opaque! Oh well. Stopped pouring with about 2 TBS left in bottle which was perfect; the sediment was left in the bottle. Nicely developed nose, seems to be approaching peak now but will likely last several more years, even another decade. This is made from petite sirah so I was expecting a huge wine but it had mellowed and was quite smooth and balanced. Sorry it is gone but it was a real treat. Well done, Guenoc.
