90 Points

Monday, December 25, 2023 - Decanted for two hours in the morning, poured over dinner. Dark garnet colour, some fine sediment. Red fruit, black currant, blackberry, dark cherry, plum, milk chocolate, spices, herbal notes, some leather, some cigar tobacco, and gravelly minerality, with medium-level acidity, partly resolved tannin, and very good length. The medium-bodied wine was broader than expected, and did not possess the energy, structure and precision I had expected. That said, it showed good integration in day two, and drank well in that broader context. The wine should remain enjoyable for another ten years, but I do not expect it to improve and would drink now.
