Friday, January 5, 2024 - First time trying this CdP even tho it's pretty popular and I drink a lot of Southern Rhone wines! Ruby red color, very pure looking. The nose is intense but elegant, red fruits, cherries, garrigue and spice. Some florals as well but nothing specific comes to mind. On the palate it's a very lively wine, a lot of different red fruits come to mind, red cherry, raspberry, strawberry. Some herbs and florals again. Spice and a touch of licorice, chocolate and kirsch on the finish which is long. Very high quality stuff with a long life ahead of it.
